“Selena is a smart cookie. She’s well aware of the famous saying ‘Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.’ By being on good terms with Kendall, Selena can keep tabs on Justin. She can also try and find out if  and what he told Kendall about them and their relationship,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
In September, Justin and Selena, 22, enjoyed a romantic vacation in St. Maarten, but afterward, Justin had dinner with Kendall in Paris, causing major tension between he and the Mrs. The dinner date caused a huge fight, which led to the end of Justin and Selena’s relationship.
Even worse, Justin, 20, had reportedly “been texting Kendall [a lot]” and “Paris wasn’t the first time that they secretly had dinner together,” a source told In Touch magazine.
Selena has every reason to dislike Kendall, 19, but it’s rather smart of her to keep her close — close enough to find out details she may be interested in knowing.
