Owner appeals for news of Jasper after dog goes missing on Scafell Pike
A walker is appealing to fellow outdoor enthusiasts for sightings of his collie dog which went missing on the slopes of England’s highest mountain.
Adam Nolan will spend a third say searching the fells today for Jasper, whom he lost near Scafell Pike on Sunday.
Despite a massive social media campaign, the border collie has still not been found.
Mr Nolan, of Whitehaven, Cumbria, lost sight of his dog near Cam Spout Crag on the Eskdale side of the mountain about 2pm.
The walker has mounted a sustained search for his dog, but so far without success. He said: “I’ve just got off the fell now before dark hit.
“Anyone who knows the area will know he’s in the most inaccessible area of the Lakes and could end up in a number of valleys.”
A social media campaign to alert the public to the missing animal has generated more than a quarter of a million likes and shares on Facebook and Twitter
