Vancouver Canucks Beat Oilers 3-2, Ryan Miller Earns 8th Win

Without a big night from the red hot first line of the Sedin twins and Radim Vrbata the Vancouver Canucks still managed to get another win over the Edmonton Oilers, taking the full two points in a well earned 3-2 victory at Rexall Place on Saturday night. Coming back from an early 1-0 deficit on a Jordan Eberle goal for the Oilers, the Canucks clawed their way back before a Derek Dorsett shorthanded goal in the third period gave them the final lead in an entertaining affair in Edmonton.
Ryan Miller was outstanding once again in goal for the Canucks, pushing the team to a four game winning streak as well as earning his eighth win of 2014/15. Which is the most of any goalie in the league through a month of play. Miller had 25 saves in the victory, continuing to keep the Canucks amongst the top of the standings in the tough Pacific Division where they are two points behind the Anaheim Ducks with an It should be said that Miller will be tested during the Canucks upcoming California road trip, but for now there is no reason for fans in Vancouver not to be optimistic about their new veteran netminder. After all, Miller at his peak was arguably the best goaltender in the game when he was in the zone with the Buffalo Sabres and during the 2010 Olympics. Miller may not get into that type of form ever again, but with all of the Canucks wins coming with their free agent signing in the pipes new general manager Jim Benning is looking incredibly wise in his decision to pay the proven goalie to come to Vancouver this summer.
